Communications Manager

The Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area is seeking a Communications Manager to support the important programs and activities that preserve, conserve, and interpret the valuable natural and cultural resources of the Appalachian Highland Forests in West Virginia and western Maryland. This position is a full-time, benefitted position for seasoned communications and marketing professionals looking for a fast paced, vibrant work environment located in Elkins, WV. The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance AFNHA’s brand reputation, foster positive relationships with stakeholders, and effectively convey key messages to target audiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
